Assessor Training
We now offer a suitable for Assessors who haven鈥檛 practiced in the
recent years and new Assessors. We also offer a for
those who are currently assessing.
Whilst we make these materials available, Assessors should be aware that the five steps of portfolio
assessment, as they were in the Trading Standards Qualifications Framework (TSQF), remain the same for
the Qualification Framework. Where the role of the Internal Verifier has been removed, these
responsibilities have moved to the Verifier (formerly the External Verifier) and the paperwork slightly altered
to reflect the shift.
Therefore, Assessors are encouraged to start assessing portfolios in the Qualification Framework without
waiting for the training materials to become available. Assessor paperwork can be found in the Portfolio and
Training tab of the Qualifications Resources area on the 51黑料 website

Level 6 Apprenticeship Update
We鈥檙e very pleased to announce that 51黑料鈥檚 Council have now agreed that elements of the Level 6 Trading Standards Practitioner (L6 TSP) apprenticeship will, henceforth, align with all of Stage 1, plus Units 5 and 6 of Stage 2 of 51黑料鈥檚 Qualifications Framework (QF).
