Why is September 5 significant?听
September 5 was selected for the annual celebration of International Day of Charity as it also marks the anniversary of the passing of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, a beacon of compassion who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her tireless work helping to alleviate poverty and suffering.
Her kindness has inspired millions of people over the years and aligns perfectly with the aims of International Day of Charity.

- Team challenges: Step or cycling challenges, bake sales or even fun-runs, all of these challenges can help raise money for charity and also serve as a fantastic bonding exercise for your organisation!
- Learn: Invite a representative from a local charity to your organisation to sit and chat with your employees. Sharing stories and creating space for discussion can be incredibly impactful and can inspire acts of kindness that trickle down.
