Module Overview

Food regulation continues to evolve, with increasing complexity across areas such as additives, flavourings, GMOs, food contact materials, and novel foods. This four-hour webinar provides a practical, expert-led overview of the legal frameworks that govern these regulated food categories - and how to apply them with confidence.

From understanding the subtleties of additive approvals and processing aids, to navigating the divergence between UK and EU rules on smoke flavourings and GMOs, the session will equip you with the clarity needed to manage compliance effectively. You'll also explore the regulatory landscape around novel foods, including authorisation processes, labelling obligations and proprietary protections, before tackling the often-overlooked world of food contact materials - covering topics such as contaminants, declarations, and the truth behind common packaging symbols.
